Auntie Jemima Lydia

26 Mar

She looked so cute! Okay…so I was trying to entertain myself while waiting for Jordan to get home.

Oh…what a Mommy can do with a handkerchief and lots of time. ๐Ÿ˜€

Newsletter time!

24 Mar

This year I took on the task of writing a newsletter, sickness just like my Mom always did. Fortunately, I did get some assistance.

Here our editor in Chief walks around contemplating the choice of words that I used.

Our faithful Public Relations Specialist works diligently on making sure the first printing goes out to the correct people. What would I do without him? ๐Ÿ™‚

Wardrobe updates

23 Mar

Lydia is getting big, so I decided it was time to switch out her 6-9mo and 9-12mo clothing for 12mo and 18mo clothes. Here Lydia is giving me her opinion on an outfit.

The beautiful baby armoire is what ย Grandma Phillips used when she was expecting Jordan’s mother, and what Jordan’s mom used when she was expecting Jordan. We have been blessed with being able to use it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Local visitors

20 Mar

I happened to look out and see this beautiful hawk sitting on the electric pole. I had to snap a picture.

Then, troche after admiring the hawk, I saw this smaller bird sitting in the tree right outside the garage door.

I really need to get myself a bird book!

Never too late for snow

19 Mar

I was delighted to have a chilly day, but even more delighted when it was overcast and snowy.

You can’t really tell in this photo, but the snow is over the horizon and barely snowing in my yard.

The birds taking roost while letting the weather pass over.

Snowing up closer.

Coming down harder.

A good picture with the snow.

The Huachuca mountains.

A closer look from the 2nd story of our house.

*sigh* I love snow. ๐Ÿ™‚ At least this kind of snow. ๐Ÿ˜› I don’t know how well I’d handle 10 foot drifts! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Beep Beep – my Roadrunner is back

15 Mar

Occasionally from time to time I look out my window to see a flash. I love to see this bird and his mate running around in my yard. They are so graceful.

Beep Beep!
